During these strange times, our primary aim is to ensure that you have a thoroughly enjoyable holiday and both yourselves and our staff are safe throughout your stay.
With this in mind, we have set new cleaning protocols to sanitize the house and contents during each changeover.
We politely request that you arrive after 4pm, which will allow the property to be cleaned, disinfected and our changeover team leave the premises prior to your arrival.
To give you peace of mind, here is a quick round up of the steps we are taking:
Arrival
A key safe is outside so that no face to face reception is necessary. We will telephone you on the day of arrival to ensure that you have found everything you need.
Hand sanitizer stations are located by the key safe, inside at the front & back door & inside the games room, together with one in the loft, should you be taking the 5th optional bedroom.
Undoubtedly soap and water is the safest option and antibacterial hand wash is supplied at each hand basin.
Kitchen
Sorry to say there will be no welcome basket, ie milk, eggs, juice, biscuits etc or laid up tea tray. Please bring your own tea, coffee, sugar and all culinary paraphernalia
We have also been forced to remove the contents of the larder. We do have two sets of salt & pepper grinders, so will alternate these weekly – that is one thing you can tick off your list!
Leaflets & Tourist Information
Again these have been removed, however if you visit our website www.cornwall-luxury-holidays.co.uk and click on “What Shall We do”, there is a link to Falmouth based activities. Alternatively see the Welcome document that will be emailed and see all the local attractions. It might be a good idea to visit the sites listed to find out their opening hours and if you need to pre-book or take any necessary precautions.
Books/CD’s/DVD’s
We believe that removing these items takes away from the homely feel we have endeavoured to create. Please do use them and then place in the plastic quarantine box that is kept in the hall. We will then remove at the end of your stay and replace a week later.
Bed Linen & Towels
There are two complete sets of all bed linen/towels therefore before your stay, we will change pillows, duvets, and protectors, that are all non-allergen. The set that you are using will have been untouched for at least 7 days. Valances have been temporarily removed from beds. All covers are sent to a professional laundry that has their own cleaning protocols in place to ensure that your bed is ready to provide a gloriously restful sleep.
Games Room
Again, there are two sets of table tennis bats & balls and darts so you can enjoy games during your stay. At the end we will swap for another set. Unfortunately, all the board games and outdoor games have been removed so please feel free to bring your own.
BBQ
As in the past, the gas BBQ is provided for you to enjoy delicious al fresco dining. However, we ask that if it is used during your stay, please clean it – our staff will disinfect the handles etc, but sadly time will not allow us to offer a full clean.
Health & Well Being
If anyone is taken ill with suspected Coronavirus during their holiday, the guest should be driven home immediately for self-isolation. Please inform us, as a matter of urgency, and we will arrange to undertake a deep clean of the entire property. We are not able to offer an extended stay at the property.
At the end of your holiday we will ask you to strip the pillowcases, protectors, duvet covers and mattress protectors from each bed and place them together with the towels in the laundry bags provided in the utility room. This safeguards our staff and saves time in order that they begin the next changeover.
We really want you to enjoy your stay and have put the above protocols in place to ensure, to the best of our ability, that you are kept safe.
